Voluminous Curly Hair with Dramatic Side Part and Rooted Blonde Color 80s Inspired Retro Trending Hairstyle

Styling Tips:





  • Apply a curl defining, thermal protectant to damp hair. Look for a product that also offers frizz control and volume building properties.

  • Next, create an exaggerated side part, using a comb or brush, and guide hair in the desired direction.

  • Then, use a blowdryer to dry hair, quickly. If you have naturally curly hair, boost your hair’s natural texture using a diffusing attachment with your hairdryer.

  • When hair is dry, build volume and texture after blowout, dusting your roots with a texture/ volume powder, and use a teasing comb to lightly tease the roots around the crown of your head and to create lift near your bangs. You can tease your roots more or less depending on the amount of volume you desire.

  • Next, use a small barrel curling wand to shape and curl hair, working with sections at a time. Starting near your roots, wrap hair around the wand until you reach the ends of hair.

  • After curling, use your fingers to gently relax curls and shape hair as desired.

  • Once styled, use a lightweight finishing spray to hold curls and lock in style.
